Intel Secrets Web Site
In The News

The first major article about the Intel Secrets web site, appeared in the San Jose Mercury News on Sunday, March 17, 1996. The article appeared on the front page of the newspaper, and was titled "The world is a soapbox on the Web." The author, Dan Gillmor is the senior Computing Editor for the Mercury News, who also substitutes for the Business page editor, when needed. Click here to read the article.

When the trademark dispute heated up, and refused to cool down, there was a lot of press coverage. First, the story was given to Inter@ctive Week, EE Times, and finally winding up in the San Jose Mercury News -- on the front page of the newspaper. After the Mercury News picked up the story, the Associated Press called, and wanted to pick up the story; then the Wall Street Journal; Dallas Morning News. In all, who knows how many newspapers ran the story.

The San Jose Mercury News Story, which ran on the front page, was pretty good. There are a few minor errors in the article, but nothing worth mentioning here.
